TO THE FAITHFUL OF STELLA MARIS PASTORATE,
Christ is risen! He is truly risen! Alleluia!
The Easter message of joy echoes throughout the whole world proclaiming Christ’s ultimate victory of light over darkness and life over death. It is this message upon which we base our faith and which guides our lives. Because Jesus has died and risen again, conquering sin and death, we believe that with Him we too shall live.
Congratulations to the following adults, who are being received into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil this weekend: Raphael Chiapim (catechumen), Luccio Cianciolo, Sarah Herdrich and John Lancaster (candidates). For the past several months, these adults have been studying and preparing through our OCIA program. I am happy to welcome them into the oneness of our Catholic Faith, and I ask that you keep them in your prayers as they grow deeper in their faith and in their relationship with Christ.
Easter office hours: This week, as we commemorate the Octave of Easter, the pastorate office will be closed all day on Monday, and in the afternoons the remainder of the week.
Thank you to all who helped or participated in our Triduum and Easter liturgies, especially our musicians, those who decorated our churches, and to all those who donated memorial gifts for Easter flowers. All of it points the glory of God and the beauty of Jesus’ Resurrection.
I wish you and your families a most holy and blessed Easter season!
