"Hope Does Not Disappoint,” is inspired by Romans 5:5, which reminds us that God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. In Jeremiah 29:11, we are assured, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” These scriptures remind us that our hope in God is never in vain.
Each pledge to the Annual Catholic Appeal supports the many programs, resources and services that the Diocese sponsors, enabling us to share the transformative power of Christ’s love with those who are lost, forgotten, or in need. During this Year of Jubilee, we are called to reflect on God’s abundant grace, celebrate the gift of forgiveness, and shine Christ's light in the world through acts of charity and service.
Please prayerfully consider joining the Perpetual Steward Society by making a continuous monthly gift of any amount. Or consider making a pledge, payable over six months. Your gift will help enable our parish and the diocese to reach its goal and provide to the ministries supported by the appeal.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS)
Kids across our pastorate have been spending time in the atrium Wednesday nights - completing works to learn about the parables, burying the Alleluia, arranging flowers, and continuing practical life works.
Earlier in January, Filiae Mariae spent some time in the atrium learning more about CGS!

Old Palms
This year, due to logistics, we are not collecting palms in our pastorate. Blessed palm branches should be treated with special reverence. They should either be burned with the ashes then buried or simply buried. This ensures their sacred purpose is honored and returns them to the earth in a dignified way.

No Hospitality during Lent
Hospitality, with coffee and donuts will not take place during Lent. It is a way our whole pastorate can offer a sacrifice together in order to draw closer to the Lord, and to experience the Resurrection in a deeper and new way. Do not be afraid, it will return at Easter!

Recessional Silence at Holy Mass
During Lent, at the conclusion of every Holy Mass, all are invited with the priest to kneel for a moment of silence and thanksgiving, followed by the recession done in sacred silence. All of it to give us a deeper sense of God. St. Mother Teresa once said: “We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature—trees, flowers, grass—grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence.”
Lenten Almsgiving
This year our pastorate almsgiving will support the Sister Parish in Tanzania. This Lenten Almsgiving is the only fundraiser for the Sister Parish in 2025. Please prayerfully consider a generous donation. You may use the almsgiving box or give online here.

A Lenten Retreat will be held on Saturday, Apr. 12 at IHM to prepare for the Sacred Triduum. There is no cost, all are invited! The retreat will last from 8am until 12pm and will include Adoration at 8am, Mass at 9am, social time with coffee and bagels, and a scripture study of the liturgies of Holy Week to close. Please RSVP here. RSVP is not required.
